Mesolifting
It can be done at the level of the face, neck and hands and improves the tone of skin, increases its hydration and smooths wrinkles. The effects are due to the activation of cell metabolism and increased intercellular exchanges with stimulation of fibroblasts and increasing collagen production. It has no contraindications and is part of skin anti-ageing programs along with wrinkle fillers, botulinum toxin, peelings, laser treatments.
The basic substance in this treatment is hyaluronic acid, the substance normally contained by the skin but whose concentration decreases with age. The decrease in skin thickness that occurs with age (about 6% every 10 years) is due to the decrease of hyaluronic acid production and its replacement by microinjections can restore the thickness and structure of the skin. Other substances injected during this treatment are:
- vitamin A to increase skin elasticity, to improve lesions
- products for sun exposure,
- vitamin E with an antioxidant role
- vitamin C with a role in increasing collagen production and inhibition
- of melanin production at pigment spots
- B vitamins
- amino acids
- nucleic acids
- coenzymes
Treatments are done 3-4 times at 2 weeks interval, then one per month for 3 months, after which the effects are maintained according to the patient's particularities. No pre-test for allergic reactions is required. Contraindications: localized infections on the areas to be injected, herpes, dermatitis.
Lipolysis and cellulite treatment
It is done by injecting phosphatidylcholine into various associations that will help eliminate fat deposits on the abdomen, hips, waist, thighs, chin. The method can also be useful for liposomes. Depending on the patient's needs, 4-6 sessions are required at 2 weeks interval. The side effects are minor: local oedema, redness, small bruising, lump formation of lysed fat (disappearing in 4-6 weeks after treatment). Between treatments is recommended to massage the treated areas in order to avoid nodule formation. It is not recommended for patients who want large decreases in adipose tissue thickness, in which case liposuction is indicated.
Treatment of alopecia (hair loss) through mesotherapy
can be done in both women and men. Depending on the cause of hair loss and the patient's sex, are used substances that produce vasodilatation in hair follicles, that nourish the hair or block the activity of the 5α-reductase - enzyme involved in androgenic alopecia (alopecia in men or in women with increased testosterone secretion ). Initially, 4-6 treatments are required at 2 weeks interval, after which one treatment per month is performed for maintenance. The effects are very good as long as the maintenance treatment is done. When the treatment is stopped, if the causes determining hair loss are not eliminated, it reappears progressively.
